Donate to Gerami Groover Presents

Lift Every Voice is Gerami Groover Presents (GGP) first initiative in the Republic of South Africa. Through formal music education, Lift Every Voice hopes to provide a narrative through songs that celebrates the music that have accompanied the struggles and triumph of the African American and the South African people. Lift Every Voice  will study and highlight the connections shared historically and musically between the two cultures. GGP founder, Gerami Groover and GGP Artist Ambassador of South Africa, Witness Matlou will work  together  in providing music history, choral and instrumental performance workshops with the students of the Hamilton-Garrett Music and Arts Academy (Roxbury, MA,USA) and the Moses Molelekwa Arts Foundation (Tembisa, Johannesburg, South Africa). These two youth performing arts programs will participate in GGP’s first musical cultural exchange program, preparing the two schools to come together for two joint musical performances that will be held in Boston, USA and in Johannesburg, South Africa.
